Description: Clear and frosted glass perfume bottle, hexagonal lantern shaped, rounded shoulders molded in relief with a stylized floral pattern, with the same decor on the stopper, picked out in patina or thick enamel, with embossed gold or polychrome label mimicking stained glass. Creation attributed to Julien Viard for the Bobin Frères establishments.

Description: Pyramid shaped crystal perfume bottle molded with an intaglio of a sphinx, the name "Enigma" in a cartouche, piqued out in gold enamel. Original presentation box illustrated with ancient Egyptian scarab and lotus graphics.

Enigma by Lubin was originally launched in 1898, but was repackaged in 1921 with the Egyptian pyramid bottle.

Description: Tapered cylindrical clear glass bottle molded with floral pattern (lily of the valley) with applied blue patina stain. Original nickle hardware, long metal siphon.

Description: perfume bottle in clear glass, molded oval section, bulbous belly decorated with four floral friezes with applied sepia patina, polychrome paper label, molded figural glass stopper of a cherub. Rectangular presentation box wrapped in polychromed paper illustrated with a scene of a pair of lovers on a background of forest landscape.

Description:  Clear glass powder box with a frosted background and molded with a raised grape and leaf motif. Its raised oval glass cabochons are highlighted with pink enamel and a pink enameled cabochon finial for the handle.

Description: Powder box in amber glass, molded with geometric fan shapes in the Egyptian Revival manner,  piqued out in light blue patina.





Viard Powder Jar c1920s - Vines and Leaves

  • Measurements: It measures approximately 6 ½ inches in diameter and 3 ¼ inches tall.
  • Markings: Etched on the inside of the lid is “J. Viard Made in France.” Molded on the bottom is “J. Viard Made in France.”

Description: Antique powder box is decorated with vines and leaves with delicate scrolling on the lid. The lid is frosted with areas left clear on the veining of the larger leaves.  The base is rounded, quite possibly hand blown into a 4-part mold. There is a horizontal band around the base on which has been molded vertical. Eight clear squares are symmetrically placed around this band. The entire base is frosted except for two small horizontal bands bracketing the embossed band.
